Our Kongowea community

Our blog details our work in action in the community, highlighting the student success stories are so proud of and celebrate.

Working closely with our community in Kongowea is essential to us understanding the needs of our target. We want to clearly understand the aspirations of the young, so we can play out part to enable them to achieve their goals.

We are also keen to draw attention to the great work of the teachers and schools we partner with. These unsung heroes are working to help the next generation to be equipped to make the best of the opportunities available to them.

At Kids League we are very conscious of maintaining our focus on education. Our mandate is clear, and we target a very specific audience of students in a part of the community that is not supported by the Government or other organisations such as the Church.

Sharing is caring

We want to share information with our international community. Our donors and sponsors come from all over the world, and it is important to us they understand that they can genuinely change a life.

When donating to a distant place there can be concerns on the impact you can make. When donating to a small charity, with low overheads you know where your money is going. As our overheads are covered by the income from our second hand shop, every penny goes to scholarships.

We have donors and corporate partners that are raising funds for Kids League Kenya, and we want to celebrate their efforts and share their activities.

The blog aims to give updates on what is changing in the Kenyan education system, how Kids League Kenya are navigating these changes, and making sure you know that your donations are making a difference to those you really need it.
