Volunteer
We have a small full-time team based in Mombasa, Kenya. Our Trustees are also based in Kenya.
Our volunteers are very important to us.
We have a small team of part time volunteers in the UK, and we welcome support through advocacy and raising awareness, as well as specific skills and knowledge in copywriting, business development, social media and research.
When we have specific volunteer roles available we will include them in our newsletter and blog. If you have time to spare and have skills or experience in any of these areas then we’d love to hear from you.
Please send an email to dev@kidsleaguekenya.org giving us a summary of your background and what you’d like to get involved with and we’ll get back to you if we have a suitable vacancy.
As it can take time to set up and train volunteers we ask that you commit to 6 months we us (many of our volunteers are on years!), and due to insurance limitations we only accept volunteers over the age of 18.
Lastly, please understand that we do not host overseas volunteering. We do appreciate best practice sharing and insight, but we focus on our local team who have built long term relationships, and are from the communities where we work to deliver the Kids League Kenya experience to our students.
From one of our volunteers, Vicky:
“I’m delighted to be able to apply skills I used in a corporate role to help Kids League Kenya. The team have been very welcoming and engaging, and it is so rewarding to know that my time and efforts go directly towards making a difference to the lives of children in Kenya.
By supporting this tight knit team, they are able to work where it counts most, in the local community and with the children, families and institutions – changing futures through access to education.”
